Established in 1978, Craigieburn Basketball Association is a leader in offering basketball opportunities to the community of Craigieburn and surrounding areas to support our members and associates in achieving their aspirations and goals.

CBA’s mission is to successfully promote, manage, lead and develop basketball for the benefit of our members and the local community to maximise enjoyment and opportunities for all, bringing together people of all abilities and ages to learn the fundamental skills of basketball and provide pathways to achieve to the best of their ability and aspirations.

A non for profit organisation, CBA comprises over 1500 players, coaches, referees, officials and volunteers. The Club prides itself on promoting professionalism and nurturing a positive and safe environment in sportsmanship, teamwork and a sense of belonging, encouraging the development of fitness, wellness, social interaction and socially inclusive values.

An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Administrator to join our team to manage the administration of the organisation and provide exceptional customer service to all our members, associates and the wider community.

Based at the Craigieburn Sports Stadium, key responsibilities would include:

? Manage the operations and administration of the organisation and provide assistance to the Big V, Domestic and Development programs

? Association Delegate for the MUVJBL competition

? Administer the Representative basketball program including, registration, coordination of the tryout program and assist with coaches recruitment

? Coordination of court hire for Domestic, Representative and Big V programs

? Membership growth and retention

? Marketing, sponsorship, fundraising and general promotion of the Club

? Liaison with community groups, attend appropriate workshops and functions

? Oversee/coordination of the CBA Junior Domestic competition Junior Domestic Coordinator – this position has the flexibility to be included within the Administrator’s role or to become a separate position. Full on site Saturday role, managing the junior competition, including fixturing, results and liaison with Domestic Club delegates. Qualifications

? Experience in the field of basketball or sports management

? Understanding of Basketball Australia and Basketball Victoria structures preferred

? Excellent communication and organisational skills and attention to detail

? Ability to prioritise and time manage

? Superior computer application skills

? Facilities management an advantage but not essential

? Current Working with Children Card

Hours and pay rate to be determined with the successful applicant however it would be expected that the majority of hours worked would be weekdays between 5.00 pm – 10.00 pm.
