MELBOURNE - In an extremely exciting build up to the second ever Big V Origin All Star Series, the first of many announcements has arrived in that the four head coaches to lead the associated Metro and Country sides have been selected.

Congratulations to the following four individuals who will coach their respective Origin teams:

Katrina Hibbert (Eltham Wildcats SCW) - Metro Women

Megan Moody (Bendigo Braves VYCW) - Country Women

Paul Lankford (Blackburn Vikings D1M) - Metro Men

Matt Alexander (Warrnambool Seahawks D1M) - Country Men

Chosen by a panel of selectors that are within the Big V community, it was a pleasing result to have four outstanding coaches, all of whom are excelling at the current time in their careers.

These coaches will lead their respective teams out onto the floor on June 10 at the new and improved Casey Indoor Leisure Centre, with the women's All Star Game tipping off at 6pm (Men 8pm).

Big V CEO Julie Anderson is excited to bring the event to metropolitan Melbourne for the very first time.

"After such a successful inaugural Big V Origin All Star Series in Shepparton, it's now time for a Metro association to play host," Anderson mentioned.

"The concept of Metro vs. Country will continue to build into the Big V's greatest rivalry with another edition of the event.

"Casey is a great location to hold the event, fresh with its new look stadium which is well on the way to being completed."

Further announcements will be made in the coming weeks, including the all important team release, plus the entrants to the 3-Point Shootout and Dunk Contest.
